roleplay example:
Colby stretched her legs out into the cobblestones of the road, and admired her shoes. She scolded herself for wearing high heels, but that was just who she was and how she dressed. She scolded herself, too, for taking this road. It was shaded, and had little business. There was grass growing between the stones in the road, and moss growing on the building opposite her. She watched as a woman walked passed, a baby nibbling at her exposed breast. A few moments later, a young couple passed, with wrinkled clothing and sparkling eyes. Colby glared at them, and returned her gaze to her shoes.
Tristan had been in Italy over the summer for something involving basketball, Colby had known that when she came here. She had, she would admit this only to herself, come in hopes of seeing him before he went back home. After all, she needed to say good bye to him. She was sure his parents had probably told him why she was here, and that was embarrassing. It still bothered her that she was never sure why he stayed in Italy instead of returning home. Still, it was nice to have him around.
She noticed, suddenly, a quick patter of foot steps and then a small shadow covering her. She looked up and into the face of a little boy. Ciao, she greeted him, smiling lightly. Her Italian was still rough around the edges. Lei odora alquanto, ape deve inseguirla, the young boy babbled out. It took Colby a moment to translate his words. She smiled at Rufio, she was more flattered than annoyed now. She took a sniff of the air, and smelled her own perfume. She was happy to agree with him, she did smell pretty. Ringraziarla. Ciò è buffo, ciò è il mio nome. Sono l'Ape, She thanked him and introduced herself as Bee. The two continued to smile at each other, before Colby looked at the face of her phone.
It had been nearly twenty minutes since she had called Tristan. She had a feeling he was coming, but maybe he wasn’t. She looked back to the boy, who was still admiring her. Lei potrebbe condurrmi a una strada principale? She asked him to lead her to a main road, and the next second he was dragging her by her hand. She laughed and asked him to slow down.
They had been walking for only a few minutes when she heard Tristan’s voice calling out. They continued to walk until they saw him around the corner. She looked down at the little boy holding her hand. That’s my friend, she paused, before repeating herself in Italian. I speak English, he said, before cracking a joke at her bad Italian. She laughed and kissed the top of his head. She dropped his hand and walked, hips swaying, toward Tristan. She threw her arms around his neck. It looks like I have two heroes today, she looked over her should and winked at Rufio, before he ran off.
She looked back to Tristan. His clothes, though they matched, looked quite disheveled and quickly thrown on. She could feel the left corner of her mouth falling into a frown. He had recently dressed himself, which meant he was recently undressed. She leaned forward to press her mouth to his in a quick peck, and could, in fact, smell something sweet on him. She pulled away. Sorry for interrupting you, She said, knowing she had.
